Development Process

The Community Development Department is responsible for administering community-wide planning and development activities within the Town Limits and its extra-territorial jurisdiction (ETJ) to ensure organized growth and development in accordance with the Town’s Comprehensive Plan and other development regulations. The department provides administrative support to the Planning Zoning Commission and Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Development Review Committee (DRC)

The Development Review Committee (DRC) consists of the Director of Community Development, Town Engineer, Town Manager, Police Chief, Director of Public Works, a representative from the Argyle Water Supply Corporation, Argyle Fire District Chief, Fire Marshal, and Town Inspector. The DRC is responsible for reviewing and commenting on development applications coming before the Community Development Department.
